Albanian Helsinki Committee (AHC), in the framework of it initiative “Contribution for a better respect of the rights of asylum seekers and refugees in Albania” organized a study visit to the Netherlands from 7th to 10th February 2017.
The visiting team was composed of 2 AHC representatives and 2 representatives of State Institutions, respectively from the Directory of Asylum and from the Migration Directory at the State Police. The study visit facilitated by Dutch Council for Refugees (DCR) which is a partner in this project. The DCR introduced to the participants with the functioning of the Dutch asylum and migration systems. The participants had the possibility to visit the office of the Dutch Council for Refugees, Asylum Accommodation Centers, Dutch Border Police and Unaccompanied Minors Institutions.
Through these meetings the participants of AHC with the representative’s of the above institutions mentioned and had the chance to exchange information and to learn more about asylum and integration issues and the good practices used in the Netherlands.
This activity was conducted in the framework of the project “Contribution for a better respect of the rights of asylum seekers and refugees in Albania” supported by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, in the framework of program MATRA for Rule of Law.
