CALL FOR PROJECT PROPOSALS – “NO to Corruption, YES to Democracy”

Albanian Helsinki Committee (AHC), through the initiative  “No to Corruption, Yes to Democracy” funded by the Government of Sweden, aims to strengthening Civil Society contribution in promoting respect for human rights, democracy and anti-corruption in Albania.  In the framework of this initiative, AHC opens the call for project proposals to support initiatives by civil society organizations in Albania.

The overall objective of this call is: To empower civil society organizations to promote community-based interventions ensuring a better respect for human rights, a developing democracy and anti-corruption.

The expected outcome to be obtained under this call is: Enhancing CSOs capacities and engagement in promoting creative solutions regarding issues related to Human Rights, democracy; anti-corruption; rule of law; and public participation.

Through this call, AHC aims to establish the Human Rights Lab, which will strengthen the beneficiary organizations of the grant scheme in the fight against corruption and will contribute to the development of a sustainable democracy and the rule of law, guaranteeing a better respect for human rights in Albania.

This Call for Proposals will remain opened for the 4-week period from June 27 to July 25 2022 and belongs to the Grant Scheme, as one of the main components of the project, which aims to fund projects proposed by CSOs that work with and promote the priority areas of this project.

The evaluation and selection of project proposals will be carried out on the basis of a meritocratic, objective and impartial process.

The total amount of fund available for this Call for Proposals is 9,715,200 Lekë.

The total budget of the projects that will be supported by this Call should be no more than 2,428,800 Lekë.

The deadline for submission of Project Proposals is: 27 July 2022, time 17.00
