The Albanian Helsinki Committee (AHC), in the framework of the initiative “Inclusion of FOreigners in WB – accesS To social and Economic Rights (FOSTER)”, implemented in cooperation with the other members of the Balkan Refugee and Migration Council (BRMC)1 and the Danish Refugee Council (DRC), aims to address common migration-related challenges in the Western Balkans region, with the focus on fundamental human rights of different vulnerable groups of migrants and foreigners, particularly their access to social and economic rights.
The overall objective of the initiative is fully protected and promoted fundamental rights of foreigners within the WB region, according to the EU standards, with special focus on economic and social rights of vulnerable foreigners.
This call for project-proposals is available in the period starting from the 20th of December, 2023 to the 20th of January, 2024 and belongs to the Sub-granting Scheme, which consists in one of the project’s main components, that aims to strengthen the capacities of CSOs to contribute to relevant policy-making, promote and protect fundamental rights of vulnerable foreigners and their inclusion into sustainable social and economic development in the Western Balkans region. The evaluation and selection of project proposals will be carried out based on a meritocratic, objective and impartial process.
The total indicative amount made available for this Call for Project-Proposals is 22,000 Euro, while each grant requested within the call must be budgeted no more than 5,500 Euro. The deadline for submitting project proposals is January 20th, 2024.

As part of the call, the AHC will hold an information session on January 12th, 2024, during which we welcome any questions pertaining to the call. Please indicate your intention to take part in this session through sending an email to office@ahc.org.al until January 5th, 2024. Following this email, AHC will give further information on the development of the activity
